Origin of the name
"Connolly Owens"

Our Founder, Ron Lovett, has had numerous people ask how the name Connolly Owens came to be and we love this question and we actually end our 1st book "Outrageous Empowerment" with a short explanation :)

Connolly comes from our Founder's grandfather, James Connolly. He owned a small plumbing company that serviced the local community with a focus on providing plumbing to the local churches. He passed away when Ron was under 3 years old but he was always known for helping those in need. Even if they couldn't pay for the service, he never turned any individual business or church away. He was also a community leader, speaker of the house of commons and deputy mayor of Halifax.

Owens comes from our Founder's father in law, Bob Owens. Bob is also an entrepreneur, who's built an incredibly successful organization helping families with wealth management and succession planning. More importantly, Ron admired how he and his wife Carol, purposely raised their three children to be a very close tribe. The family was always first and continues to be.

It was easy to take values for our business from both these people whom our Founder admired so much to form a new business. Combining Connolly & Owens, as a name, set's a strong foundation and we truly believe that company culture is the foundation of any business, not a fad. This name, for us, has strong roots and provides a foundation that will be around for generations.
